Meet Ami Freeman, the heart and hands behind Lēoht Studio.

Lēoht—drawn from the Old English word for illuminate—was born from Ami’s quiet love for candlelight and the way a single flame can transform a space. Light has a way of softening the world around us. It slows the day, stirs memory, and wraps the room in a feeling of calm and comfort.

For years, Ami searched for candles she could truly enjoy—ones that filled her home with warmth, not toxins. When she couldn’t find what she was looking for, she began to pour her own. What started as a simple act of curiosity grew into a ritual of care, and eventually, into Lēoht Studio—a space where craft, intention, and beauty meet.

Each candle is hand-poured in small batches using a creamy coconut wax blend, wooden wicks that softly crackle, and clean, carefully curated fragrance oils. Free from parabens, phthalates, lead, and anything harmful, Lēoht candles are made to burn clean and true to scent—offering light that feels as good as it smells.

But Lēoht is more than candles. It’s an invitation to slow down, to reconnect with the present, and to find light in the everyday. Through her work, Ami continues to give back to the community she loves, supporting local organizations and causes close to her heart.

With every candle, a little light is shared—warming spaces, softening moments, and illuminating the quiet beauty of simply being home.
